Wytheville, VA– The Blue Ridge Bobcats add another name to their roster with the signing of FPHL Rookie Forward Anthony Pullicino to a Professional Tryout.

Pullicino spent last season both in the FPHL and in the WOSHL. During his time with the FPHL, he held roster spots for both the Elmira Mammoth seeing action in three games, and with the Watertown Wolves where he played five games.

After the FPHL the 27-year-old joined the Erin Blitz in the WOSHL where he saw action in seven games earning one goal and nine assists. As well as helping lead the team to a playoff berth.

Prior to his professional career, Pullicino skated for Sault College during the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 seasons. Playing in 37 games earning 4 goals, 14 assists, and 18 points.

During his time in Juniors, Pullicino spent three seasons moving between the GOJHL, the NOJHL, and the GMHL, playing for the Brampton Bombers and Waterloo Siskins during the 2015-2016 season. The Blind River Beavers during the 2016-2017 season, and the New Tecumseth Civics during the 2017-2018 season, earning 23 goals, 34 assists, and 57 points during his Juniors career.

Pullicino looks to bring leadership to the young team as the Bobcats get set for their inaugural season.

“Anthony brings a big body presence to us as well as leadership on and off the ice. He’s a smart hockey player who’s making great decisions on the ice with and without the puck. He’s also a big community guy, he’s excited to be getting out in the public and giving the fans of Wytheville a true pro hockey experience,” said Head Coach Vojtech Zemlicka.

Pullicino will also be adding a force on the ice with his aggressiveness and toughness away from the puck. Allowing for more opportunities down ice in transition plays.

You can catch Anthony Pullicino and the rest of the Blue Ridge Bobcats for their home opener and the start of the inaugural season on Friday, October 20th at 7:30 p.m. inside the Apex Center(The Den).
