Newberg Signs On For Remainder Of Season

WYTHEVILLE, VA

Veteran Forward/Defenseman Josh Newberg has signed with the Blue Ridge Bobcats for the remainder of the 2023-24 season. Newberg played the first four games of the regular season on a professional tryout contract.

Newberg recorded one goal and two assists along with registering 6 shots on goal through the four games he played on his PTO.

The 36 year old also scored the winning goal in the shootout against the Motor City Rockers on October 27th that gave the Bobcats their first victory in franchise history.

Newberg will be in the lineup this weekend when the Bobcats host the Mississippi Sea Wolves for Veteran's Appreciation Weekend at the Apex Center.
