Bobcats Ink First Newcomer for '26-27, Defenseman Yegor Plitin, to PTO

The Blue Ridge Bobcats, proud members of the FPHL, are proud to announce their first newcomer player signing for the 2026-2027 season, Yegor Plitin.

The 6'4" 205 lb defenseman brings experience from some of Europe's top junior and professional leagues to Blue Ridge.

Most recently with TED Kocaeli Koleji SK of the Turkish Ice Hockey Super League, the Togliatta, Russia native recorded 14 points (7 goals, 7 assists) and a +12 rating in 20 games, establishing his presence as a full-200 foot two-way blueliner.

"We are incredibly excited to bring Yegor in to be a part of our terrific core of defensemen," said head coach and general manager Vojtech Zemlicka. "Yegor is a sizeable, left-shot defenseman whose game is built around defensive responsibility, penalty killing, and physical play. His size, reach, and puck movement skills will add a lot of versatility to our backend as a dependable shutdown blueliner who can handle tough defensive assignments and contribute in all situations."
