WYTHEVILLE, VA-
The Blue Ridge Bobcats, proud members of the FPHL, are pleased to announce the club has signed Forward Tim Kim to a PTO to join the team for the 2026-2027 season.
The Vancouver native developed through the British Columbia minor hockey system before playing junior hockey across several top North American leagues, including the BCHL, NCDC, NAHL and AJHL.
During the 2024–25 season, he split time between the Idaho Falls Spud Kings (NCDC) and the Whitecourt Wolverines (AJHL), producing offense at nearly a point-per-game pace. He recorded 21 points in 21 games with Idaho Falls, then racked up 12 points in 12 regular-season games with Whitecourt. Kim also added 6 points (3 goals, 3 assists) in 9 AJHL playoff games in 2025.
Kim began his first season of pro hockey with the Binghamton Black Bears, notching 9 points and a +8 rating in just 10 games before moving on to the Fayettevile Marskmen of the SPHL, where the 5'11" 181lb winger posted 5 points in 14 games. Kim finished last season in Germany's 4th level professional league as a key contributor to EG Diez-Limburg's playoff run, racking up 7 points and a +8 rating in just six postseason contests.
"We are incredibly excited to welcome Tim to our team for the upcoming season," said Bobcats head coach and general manager Vojtech Zemlicka.
"Tim has the potential to be one of the top players in our league. He showed the caliber of play he's capable of in our league last season, and we're excited to see his impact on our team here in Blue Ridge. He's a skilled player who creates offense both off the rush and in the dirty areas of the ice. He fits exactly what we want in our style of play, he's an energetic competitor who hunts the puck tenaciously on the forecheck and contributes on special teams."
