WYTHEVILLE, VA-
The Blue Ridge Bobcats, proud members of the FPHL, are pleased to announce the team has signed forward Colin Roe for the 2026-2027 season.
The 6'1" 205lb right winger brings a unique blend of power, poise and precision to the Bobcats forward group after eight productive seasons of high-level amateur hockey.
The 24 year old spent four seasons of junior hockey in the EHL with the Worcester Jr. Railers and posted 89 points (52G, 37A) and 125 penalty minutes in 147 games (including playoffs).
The Hyde Park, Massachusetts native then moved on to the collegiate ranks for four seasons at NCAA DIII Westfield State University. With the Owls, Roe recorded 23 points (9 goals, 14 assists) and 115 penalty minutes in 96 games.
“We’re extremely excited to bring Colin to Blue Ridge," said Head Coach and General Manager of Hockey Operations, Vojtech Zemlicka. "He’s a true power forward who plays the game hard, heavy and with a lot of purpose. He uses his size and strength extremely well, whether that’s protecting the puck, winning battles along the walls, finishing checks. He’s the type of player who can make life miserable for opposing defensemen every single shift.”
“What I really like about Colin is that his physical game doesn’t take away from his ability to contribute offensively," Zemlicka continued. "He gives us another big, physical presence up front and adds exactly the kind of toughness, compete level and versatility we want in our lineup. We believe his style is going to translate very well here in Blue Ridge, and we’re excited to see the impact he can make for us.”
