Blue Ridge adds Pro Forward Cody Oakes

Wytheville VA– The Blue Ridge Bobcats have signed FPHL Pro Forward Cody Oakes to a Professional tryout.


Oakes spent last season on both the Carolina Thunderbirds roster where in nine games he had one goal, and on the Motor City Rockers roster with 18 games, one goal, seven assists, and eight points. 


In Carolina Oakes helped lead the Thunderbirds to a semi-final finish during the 2021-2022 season, With nine goals and 1 assist in 52 games played during the season. And with 81 games played in FPHL earning 12 goals, 10 assists, and 22 points overall, Oakes brings a pro presence to the Bobcats core.


Prior to his professional career the 26-year-old out of Aurora Colorado, spent three seasons in the WHSL with the Superior RoughRiders from 2014-2017. During his time in WHSL, he earned 42 goals, 50 assists, and 92 points in 104 games played.
